Matilda: "Is there a family member you are closest to?"
Kim: "Probably my brother Matt or my sister Megan because they're closest in age, and I grew up with them. ...We have a huge age gap; my brother is ten years older than me, but he's still my best friend."

Sibling Unity
"Family values are very, very important to my family. I remember from the earliest age I can remember, like four or five, or three maybe, we always went on hikes together, and we always went out. And, I remember when I was really young, my brother used to roller blade--back when roller blading was cool--and we'd be in a stroller, and he'd push us down--because we lived in on a mountain in Alaska--so, he'd push us down the mountain, and then we'd all come in and watch cartoons together."

Family Culture
"We have a very unique family. We have a very particular family culture that we have inside jokes that no one else would understand. We think things are funny that nobody else would. We have particular ways of doing things that maybe not everybody would.
We have Musical Mayhem Night whenever we all get together because we all play musical instruments, and so we get together and play our musical instruments. We make pizza every Friday night and watch movies. We make tamales every year for New Year's...
We center our family on religion, and that's why we're so tight."

Faith in the Family
"So, my dad used to be a firefighter, and he was going through some hard times in the fire department. And, we were going through a big point of we don't know where our lives are going to go; we don't know what direction the family's going to be going. There's a big faith in letting things work themselves out and just make sure that we're doing the right things."
